Affiliate Disclosure
Full transparency on how affiliate links work on EarthyWoof and how our commercial relationships are managed.

Summary Disclosure
EarthyWoof contains affiliate links. When you click a link and make a purchase, EarthyWoof may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. This commission does not influence which products we recommend. We only recommend products we would genuinely endorse regardless of commission.
What Are Affiliate Links?
Affiliate links are special tracking URLs that allow a website to earn a small commission when a reader clicks through to a retailer and makes a purchase. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use an affiliate link or navigate to the retailer directly. The commission comes from the retailer, not from you.
How EarthyWoof Uses Affiliate Links
EarthyWoof participates in affiliate marketing programs, which may include but are not limited to:
- Amazon Associates
- Other eco-product and pet-product affiliate networks
- Direct brand affiliate programs where relevant
Affiliate links may appear in product roundups, guide articles, comparison posts, and newsletter content. Where they appear, this is disclosed clearly — either with a disclosure box at the top of the content or with inline notation where individual links appear.
Our Editorial Independence Commitment
The existence of an affiliate relationship does not influence which products EarthyWoof recommends. Specifically:
- Products are chosen on merit first. We evaluate eco credentials, ingredient quality, certifications, usability, and value — not commission rates.
- We include non-affiliate links where necessary. If the best product for our readers is available only without an affiliate program, we link to it anyway.
- We do not accept free products in exchange for positive reviews without disclosing that arrangement in the relevant content.
- Commission rates vary by program and product category. A higher-commission product is never preferred over a better-suited, lower-commission product.
- Negative information is included. Where a product has notable drawbacks — even one we recommend on balance — we note them.
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (FTC Endorsement Guides), EarthyWoof discloses all material connections — including affiliate relationships, gifted products, and sponsored content — clearly and conspicuously. This disclosure page, combined with per-content disclosures, is part of our compliance with these guidelines.
Related Brand Disclosure
GreenWag — Related Brand Disclosure
Material connection disclosure: EarthyWoof and GreenWag are related brands under common ownership. This is a material connection that goes beyond a typical affiliate relationship.
What is GreenWag? GreenWag is an eco-conscious dog apparel brand that creates breed-specific artwork printed on organic cotton T-shirts for dog owners and dog lovers. GreenWag and EarthyWoof are owned by the same person.
How EarthyWoof handles GreenWag mentions:
- GreenWag is only mentioned when it is genuinely relevant to the content — for example, in a gift guide for dog owners, or in a piece specifically about breed-specific dog merchandise.
- Every mention of GreenWag on EarthyWoof is accompanied by a disclosure of the common-ownership relationship.
- GreenWag is never placed in a product roundup or comparison as if it were an independently evaluated third-party brand without this relationship being made clear.
- Readers are always given enough context to make an informed judgment about any GreenWag recommendation in light of this relationship.
